Pursue Housing is a program of Family Rise Together that includes three houses (9 single occupancy bedrooms) in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. This community serves as a close-knit environment for individuals and families committed to pursuing long-term housing solutions.
Dedicated to addressing long-term homelessness, Pursue Housing aims to extend housing opportunities to eligible individuals. Our program is particularly designed with a unique focus on those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color (BIPOC). Additionally, special emphasis is placed on fathers and father-figures facing challenges not only in securing housing but also in overcoming obstacles related to parenting.
Everyone living at a Pursue Housing site meet the qualifications for Minnesota’s definition of Long-Term-Homelessness AND are 65-years or older OR live with a qualified condition.
We know it’s hard to know if you’re eligible or not, but we can help you navigate through the process. If you can say yes to the eligibility questions below, you are most likely eligible for Pursue Housing. If you don’t know the answer, we can help figure that out with you.
FRT houses most of our tenants through a referral from the St. Louis County Continuum of Care (CoC) Coordinated Entry (CE) system (See How to Apply section below).
The gateway to applying for Pursue Housing is the Coordinated Entry System (CES).
All households who are at risk of being unhoused or experiencing homelessness should first call 2-1-1 to connect with someone who can refer you to us at Family Rise Together to apply for Pursue Housing.
A household who is experiencing homelessness or in housing but able to maintain with some assistance are scheduled an appointment with a housing assessor. While guided by Housing First and Harm Reduction principles, Pursue Housing works to meet individuals where they are at and strives to provide the safest environment possible for our tenants as they make their own best choices moving forward. Tenants should require little supervision, be seeking to establish financial stability, be committed to develop goals, and actively work to maintain housing.
Also unique in our community, Pursue Housing honors the Family by welcoming both fathers/father-figures AND their children into our homes. Family Rise Together offers many opportunities for tenants to participate in other programming, such as Housing Stabilization Services, 24/7 Dads Class, Growing Kinship Connection, and mental health services (ARMHS).
